People sometimes say that the way things happen in movies is unreal, but actually it's the way things happen in life that's unreal.
The movies make emotions look so strong and real, whereas when things really do happen to you, it's like watching television – you don't feel anything.

Andy Warhol said that.
He is probably the funniest person I have come across.

I do not know what to think of him. Either he was amazingly shallow or he was an amazing satirist. If he was the latter, he kept this mask on even through his last interview.

"What is the ultimate source of light?"

The answer my physics teacher was looking for was "God."

God is light. He's also infinitely large. Therefore, he is infinitely many photons. You see the logic there?

"And what are we, as Christians?"
The answer, said he, could either be "transparent" to his glory like glass, or "opaque" like a mirror.

I told him that was silly and he was totally wrong.
I think we should be phosphorescent, like phosphorescent balls.
Then we could absorb his photon glories and emit them in our hour of darkness.

Chain mail

Math class yesterday:
"Do you believe in magic? In a young girl's heart?
or
Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart?"
wrote my friend.
"It sounds like the opening sentence to a sweet chainmail,"
said I.
He laughed.
"Scroll down,"
he wrote.
"It's funny how stupid these people are,"
I told him. "My dorm dad with that chainmail about the Muslim girl getting beaten by her parents--someone in the world must think he's really funny."
"I think I'll write a chain letter with 99 true facts and one ridiculous, outrageous fact that nobody will ever have heard of before."
I laughed.
"No. Nu-uh. What I want to do, I want to write a letter about some poor Christian boy getting ritually tortured by Satanists. I'll send it to my dorm dad."
"No. Don't do that. You'll feel super guilty when he reads it aloud to the dorm..."
"I guess so... Darnit..."
"My God, you know what I just realized? It's people like us. We're making fun of all the people who actually believe this crap, but it starts with people like us!"
Me and my friend--kings of the universe!

No kidding my clothes smell bad.

Shirts, both pairs of jeans, boxers--all has been contaminated by my socks that night.
Deodoranticized my pink Hollister shirt and jeans this morning, but the trail of stink persists.
Shall have to rewash them this afternoon.

Today in speech, the speech teacher said my speech was perfect! Bliss! Blithe!
I absolutely love speech now--and to think! I used to hate it!

Wonderful day!

I must write!

"For a school music festival, I want to play a silent air guitar concert under the band name Heavy Metal Jesus, complete with facepaint and scripture tattoos. Towards the end, I'll breathe air-fire and rip off my air-shirt and stage dive...

The lyrics I'll submit for approval:

"Apocalypse of darkness!
Decry thy ancient Son!
Jesus Christ above!
He shalt make thee one!

Cast upon thy name!
Thou shall never die!
Sinners scream his name!
He shall heed their cry!
Heed thy Savior!

City of ashes and rats!
Thy sinners and darkness destroyed!
Satan laughs from hell!
Heed the sound of bells!

Cast upon thy name!
Thou shall never die!
Sinners scream his
name!
He shall heed their cry!
Heed thy Savior!

Power of thy God!
Time before thy light!
Suffer thy heathen foes!
Evil unto night!
Cast away thy night!
Apocalypse thy night!

Cast upon thy name!
Thou shall never die!
Sinners scream his
name!
He shall heed their cry!
Heed thy Savior!

<8-minute>

My only two fears are the crowd won't get the satire and think I'm a horrible lyricist, or else they'll get it and deem me blasphemous...

It's funny... these humorless Christians can't joke about God or Satan... "

See, I 'd been meaning to post this since 3rd period today...
I kept trying to stop chatting with the people, but the people there didn't want me to go, so when I finally got on Blogger, it was 10:28... when the bell rang, I felt like bursting into tears... I really care about my writing! Everyone in the lab talks when I write... I wish they would all be quiet... I really want to write... I don't think anyone gets how much I care about it.

Braindeath

We were joking about how it would be nice to have a dick that grew a few inches every year. And I was like, You know, it actually wouldn't...
Let's consider: by the time you're 90, you'd have a hard time standing up. Don't even think sex would be any more fun--every time you get an erection, all the blood would be drained from your body into a lump of meat several feet in diameter and you'd have nothing to keep those synapses in your head going and then you'd die.
So then my friend was like "NTML, man. Not too much language."

Projection as a Freudian Defense Mechanism:

That cute girl in my Bible class, it's funny...
she reminded me of somebody I liked long ago, and I was expecting her voice to sound sorta like that... it's so much deeper than I expected! It was so absurd!

Magic rooms

Today was a nice day, in any case.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, when I go to that nice lady's office to work, with the wind through the windows and the sunscapes and all, a peaceful sorta mood gets to me, and it stays for hours and hours. When I left, the boys were all like "get over here," and I sorta felt like laughing...
I think the room must be magical or something...
Not really. But I'd buy it from her if I ever could.

NTML

The initials of my friend and my English teacher. We were eating lunch on the planter when my friend got sort of upset because we were talking about stuff like eating a T-Rex cock, for the third day in a row, so we all teased him by describing in graphic images how it would be if he had sex with our English teacher. He moves to another planter. So my friend and I had the brilliant idea of using the initials NTML to mean "not too much language," to be used whenever any one of us mentioned anything crude or inappropriate. With luck, we'll get the whole school saying it.
He'll never have a moment without that image in his head.

Hmm...

The world is full of amazing events in this vein as of late:
  • The band I interviewed is having their first concert soon, and I really do love the guys in it more than anything--they're all such wonderful people.
  • My history teacher said if you don't milk a cow, its udders explode. I thought about what would happen if my wife never breastfed. Would her boobs explode?
  • My friends and I laughed the whole lunch period talking about this girl who had a condition which gave her 500 orgasms a day.
  • My friend is working on a visual novel about Touhou.
  • The praise team I used to be in had their first concert. Congrats, guys.
  • My new converses are splendid, splendid, splendid! Love my dad!
Moments like these make me so happy, these people giving meaning and happiness to their lives, spitting in the face of a black hole meaninglessness...

I'm sure if I sat down and thunk, I'd think up tons more, but I don't have quite the time... it's been an hour since I logged on...

The world is beautiful!

The Senner.

The Senner

A poem, a true story,
a work dedicated to my brilliant math teacher,
and the wonderful video of the same name:

Once upon a math class dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a dull and useless problem done the night before,
While I nodded, nearly dozing, suddenly! some thought imposing,
A God of thoughts, a celestial thought, racing ‘round my languished mind:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA

(You see, dear reader, I was eager—being shown that site before
By our teacher, Mr. Senner, just a week and days before—
To show the world this Youtube gold, this song to which my soul was sold,
This band, whose namesake from him taking, had been making
Who, with some stick fights and foot-shaking, had been making
Godlike song with saintly chords!)

And distinctly I remember: it was in the crisp November,
As each boredom-stricken student gazed with yearning at the door.
My friend was sleeping, and I, keeping watch of time so quickly fleeting.
I leaned beside, and in aside, asked if he’d seen before,
—Perchance my friend had seen that video before—
He claimed he had, and nothing more.

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
`Ah!,' said I, `we should coerce him, pay him, bribe him, or else force him!
Make him show the class that video we were shown by him before!
And so quietly he went writing, writing on the board
“Search up Senner VII,” said the writing on the board

Quoth the Senner, ‘Nevermore.’

But this silent man beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance he wore,
`Though thee has said tis not the season, thou,' I said, `has not a reason.
Omnipotent and mighty teacher, why do you our pleads ignore?
Tell us why thee never gives a reason for our pleads ignored?'

Quoth the Senner, `Nevermore.'

Much I marvelled at this answer, not the one which I would chance for,
Though its answer little meaning - little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that few living human being
Ever yet was blessed with seeing www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA on the net before -
A video with the name of www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA on the net before,
But twas his answer: ‘Nevermore.’

But the Senner, sitting lonely on the cluttered desk, spoke only,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
No more words then did he utter – only numbers did he mutter-
Till I scarcely more than muttered `Not one friend has seen before -
In the end, I’ll make him show it, as he knows he can’t endure.'

Then the man said, `Nevermore.'

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
`Doubtless,' said I, `what he utters is his only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy class which caused unmerciful disaster,
Which followed fast and followed faster, till his cries one burden bore -
Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore
Of "Never-nevermore."'

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat now wondering, with my mind the video pondering,
Over swordfights, moving feet, and hair grown down to ‘neath their knees
But whose swordfights, moving feet, and hair grown down to ‘neath their knees
They shall see, ah, nevermore!

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
A name – a name like Senner, a name that www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA proudly bore!
Now show, oh show this www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA to us; give us joy and end this bore!'

Quoth the Senner, `Nevermore.'

`Senner!' said I, `name of evil! - Senner still, if man or devil! -
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On this home by horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Shall thee show www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA to us, ever? - tell me - tell me, I implore!'

Quoth the Senner, `Nevermore.'

`Senner!' shrieked I, `name of evil! - Senner still, if man or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore -
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall see a certain www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA whom the angels so adore -
Clasp a rare and radiant www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2XCg3Gu-YA, whom the angels so adore?'

Quoth the Senner, `Nevermore.'

`Be that word our sign of parting, precalc coach!' I shrieked upstarting -
`Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no numbers as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the desk beside your door!
Take thy teeth from out my heart, and take thy form from out my door!'

Quoth the Senner, ‘Zeffy, I would like you to sit over here in the front.’

And so,
The Senner not permitting, I am sitting, still am sitting
On that lonely desk that lies before the Senner’s door.
The bell has rung, the kids depart, their heads held high, but oh! my heart!
Even now, the song’s unsung! The cause—is lost! Not yet! Not now!
Alas! the video, ah! the video, lies obscure now, disavowed now,
Shall be shown now—nevermore!

Thunderstorms, talks about God over lunch, a moving sale, and a going-away party.

And then yesterday, at church, my first hug with her! Pulse: 200 MPH! I wanted to keep on hugging for an eternity! Forever!
but it was getting awkward, so let go.

We leave this afternoon.
My heart is a rock that's fallen to the bottom of my stomach. It's not sadness. It's as if I'm sitting in the cockpit of a spaceship on a winter's day.

I feel invincible!

Memories and love stuff

As I was packing, I found a bunch of stuff from 7th and 8th grade.

Two years isn't so much, you can't stay in love forever, and feelings aren't everything in a relationship.
